2. What is the point of learning skills but to put off new players? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
"And where exactly DO you draw the line ? Because this slippery slope argument you're pushing forward leads to exactly the sort of sarcastic-looking result RaTTuS presented, IF CCP would listen to everybody whining about skills/attribute/whatever ...

3. What is the point of learning skills but to put off new players? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
You are my new favourite person. Every time I see this same bloody whine in the skills (or general, or new players, or features+ideas...) I die a little inside. Yes, I have a main and an alt with 5/5 learnings. Yes, I am fully aware that the...

4. What is the point of learning skills but to put off new players? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]

5. What is the point of learning skills but to put off new players? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Edited by: Alhambra Rainwalker on 01/06/2008 10:16:53 I started with same low sp pool as you did and still pretty much agree with OP. These skills are ugly wart in EVEs skill system. I also keep hearing about specialization percentages but tho...

7. Advanced learning skill requirements reduced! - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Edited by: Alhambra Rainwalker on 23/11/2006 14:25:42 Very good idea. Now you'll have to suffer bit less time with these timesinks. Train basic 4 -> adv 4 -> basic 5 instead of current routine. Of course I'd still prefer abolishing those...

8. battlecruiser lvl2? - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Well, every level your raise your skill you get bonuses that are listed under ship description. For your Amarr BC you get 5% to all armor resistances and 10% off from your laser capacitor use. Well worth training to level 4 or 5.

12. Eve would be better without learning skills - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
I've been playing for a little over month now and I gotta say that this learning skill system is quite foolish. Apparently it was made to help people who started the game later. And if you do the numbers you will train them ASAP because doing anyt...
